This week:
Foster Care Presentation and Workshop
Over 65% of foster youth in San Francisco are placed in homes and group homes outside of the City and most of the current foster parents are in the 60+ age range. Needless to say, the demand for foster parents in San Francisco is high. The San Francisco Human Services Agency, with the support of Resource Development Associates (RDA), would like to to learn more about the perceptions, interests, and experiences in foster care of the tech community. RDA will share a brief presentation about their work and host a focus group discussion to learn more about what we know and are interested in and gather recommendations for improving foster parent recruitment and retention.
Hacking with CivicMakers, WeVote, OpenReferral, Data Science Team, Adopt-A-Drain, and many more.
